The first mayor also highlighted that “we have shown, and today we have the best example, that effective public-private collaboration can bring great news to our province. And the arrival of a new company should not be measured only in terms of economic return, which in this case is a lot, but also in terms of intangible return, such as the generation of reputation, trust and stability. Values that tip the balance in large investments. Values that shield a territory against economic crises, political earthquakes and investment flight”.

Infrastructure claims

Carmina Ballester has taken advantage of the occasion to ask Ximo Puig for the infrastructures and pending investments of the Generalitat Valenciana with Onda, essential to avoid losing competitiveness.

“We need to improve the accesses to this polygon to avoid collapses with the notable increase in heavy traffic. We need the connecting rod between CV-10 and CV-21 to be completed to gain competitiveness, fluidity and safety. We need the fast vial to run between Onda and Vila-real. We need the r to be builtonda north and east to close the city ring road”, urged the President.

energy strategy

Lastly, Ballester has also called for active listening between the company and the Administration to jointly draw up a energy strategy to put an end to the "bleeding of prices that is drowning our productive sectors."

“The Government of Spain and the European Union must listen to our companies and review the legislation to make a gradual green transition possible, and they must assume the necessary infrastructures and investments. We all share the goal and no one questions it: reduce dependence on gas and increase the use of renewable sources. But we cannot demand that our companies reach the finish line quickly when we have forgotten to build the road”, stated the mayor.
