Onda puts out to tender the construction of a new eco-park in the Sur-13 industrial estate

  • The works have a budget of 70.000 euros to provide the municipality with another selective waste collection point
  • López: "We believe that it is good for the city to open another space for Ondenses to dispose of waste"

Onda will add a new eco-park in the industrial estate Sur-13. The City Council has put the project out to tender, with a base budget of 70.247,94 euros, which will help Ondenses to be able to recycle waste selectively and responsibly with the environment.

Banal, voluminous and toxic waste will be collected in this new space. Thus, the ecopark will have containers and receptacles for all types of waste and spills. In addition, four containers for vegetable, construction and demolition, scrap and bulky waste will be installed.

Finally, it will have multiple deposits for hazardous waste such as electrical and electronic equipment, computers, brown line appliances (image and sound), white line appliances (refrigeration and washing), batteries, standard batteries, X-rays, button batteries, mineral oil , fluorescent tubes, compact lamps and other types of toxic and dangerous household waste.

In this sense, the Councilor for Territory Planning, Juan Lopez, has pointed out: "We are going to continue betting on initiatives that help the selective collection of waste". "With this new space we help reduce uncontrolled dumping and prevent this waste from affecting our environment", added López.

All the interested companies to carry out this project will have until Saturday 30 of July to submit their bids through the public procurement portal.
