Industrial investment continues Onda, and it is that only in the first half of 2022 have they been 30 the activities that the companies have registered in the Ondense logistics pole, adding 20 million euros of investment. Of these, eight million correspond to new photovoltaic installations, nearly nine million to investments in machinery, one million to expansion or new infrastructure, and two million to new activities.
This demonstrates the success of the action plan Onda Logistic to attract new investments to the city, establishing itself as a guarantee for companies. Thus, it is possible to add the 44 licenses granted in 2019 who reached the 20 millones de euros; and 38 licenses of 2020, which reached the 50 millones de euros; and, finally, the foreign investment of the 2021 that reached the 18 million. In total, in the last four years Onda Logistic has managed to attract business investment worth 108 millones de euros.
In this regard, the Mayor carmina ballester, commented that “the figures show the business and economic growth of the city, which translates into more and better jobs, but we are non-conformists and from the municipal government we continue working to convert Onda a world reference and consolidate ourselves as a logistics hub in the Mediterranean”.
The first mayor has also claimed, once again, the need to carry out an energy strategy that ends the "bleeding of prices that is drowning our productive sectors".
“The Government of Spain and the European Union must listen to our companies and review the legislation to make a gradual green transition possible, and they must assume the necessary infrastructures and investments. We all share the goal and no one questions it: reduce dependence on gas and increase the use of renewable sources. But we cannot demand that our companies reach the finish line quickly when we have forgotten to build the road”, stated the mayor.
Reasons to invest in Onda
Among the advantages that influence companies to choose Onda are the modern facilities, strategic location, labor advice or the Tax incentives and discounts on IAE and ICIO taxes.
Recently, the council has reissued the line of Subsidies for the Promotion of Hiring, whose objective is to promote the insertion of neighbors, making economic contributions of up to 4.000 euros for companies that hire unemployed people from the municipality.
On the other hand, the City Council has re-launched the Office of Business Acceleration, a free service for companies in order to streamline procedures and solve their needs as soon as possible.

In parallel, the City Council of Onda is carrying out important improvements in the industrial park with the aim of improving the area and revaluing it. For this purpose have already been allocated 1,9 millones de euros to improvement actions such as the implementation of fiber optics, traffic control through cameras connected to the Local Police, installation of 1.079 LED lights, installation of more than 100 hydrants, improvement and expansion of green areas and signage and painting, among others . The constitution of all the polygons of the city as Management and Modernization Entities is also underway.
