Onda joins forces with ASCER, ASEBEC and ANFFECC to draft the new Plan for public transport to industrial zones

  • The City Council studies new bonuses for companies that bet on renewable energy
  • Aguilella: "Sustainability, training and tax incentives are three fundamental resources to continue growing"

El Town Hall of Onda, in its commitment to promote sustainable mobility, is working hand in hand with the national employers' association of Manufacturers of Ceramic Tiles and Pavements (ASCER), Frits, Enamels and Ceramic Colors (ANFFECC), and Manufacturers of Machinery and Capital Goods for the Ceramic Industry (ASEBEC) to jointly draft the new Public transport plan which pursues the objective of improving sustainability in the movements of the people of ondenses to their workplace in industrial areas.

The study started last June with an initial phase of gathering information and field work to be able to carry out a diagnosis of the situation and know the mobility patterns in access to work. Now, questionnaires are being prepared to carry out to workers in the industrial zone in order to listen to their demands and needs in terms of transportation and integrate them into the Plan. ASCER, ANFFECC and ASEBEC have shown their firm willingness to collaborate in this initiative as well as their support for environmental awareness. Likewise, the employers' associations have also thanked the council for its effort to launch specialized training programs on demand to insert the unemployed people of Onda into the ceramic sector.

The Councilor for Finance and Employment, Salvador Aguillella, has explained that “from this municipal government we have no other purpose than to be useful to our companies to continue adding services, competitiveness and quality jobs to our locomotive sector. Sustainability, training and tax incentives are three fundamental resources to continue growing and generating opportunities for the people of Onda ”.

Renewable energy bonuses

On the other hand, the municipal government, after listening to the sector, is studying applying new tax credits for those companies that bet on renewable energy. A measure that is already applied in homes that install solar panels, which can benefit from a discount of the 20% on the IBI.

This tax incentive will be added to those already in force, such as, in the case of the IAE tax, the 50% by co-generation, the 20% because the industry is located more than seven kilometers from the urban area or the 50% for those companies that generate employment. Regarding the ICIO, all those companies that build in an associated polygon as a Management and Modernization Entity will also be able to benefit from a discount of the 50%.
