Thus, the Generalitat Valenciana has approved the Investment Plan that the municipal government presented for Onda Logistic, approved in plenary session unanimously by all political groups.

In this way, the team led by Carmina Ballester has projected a medium-term action plan, based on a detailed analysis of the current situation that has counted on the participation of Ondense companies, to undertake multiple actions based on sustainable development, modernization of areas and international promotion of the brand Onda Logistic, Mediterranean Business Park in order to attract new investments and generate new jobs in the city and the province.

On this subject, Ballester pointed out that “we are going to continue working together hand in hand with other administrations to convert Onda in one of the most competitive industrial parks in the Mediterranean, which will lead to more employment for our land, more opportunities for everyone and to promote talent and innovation ”.

The actions to be carried out are: civil works that allow the implementation of fiber optics; traffic control through CCTV connected to the Local Police, to continue improving security in industrial areas; improvement of public lighting by means of energy efficiency measures and/or renewable energies with the installation and replacement of 1.079 luminaires with LED technology, which represents a considerable investment to reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and also achieve economic savings of 93.000 euros in the bill for public lighting; fire services, with the installation of more than 100 hydrants to improve the fire safety of companies located in the industrial and logistics areas of Onda; improvement and expansion of green areas; signaling and/or identification of streets; horizontal and/or vertical traffic signaling to improve the safety of users of industrial zones; and the improvement in the supply of drinking water, necessary to finish providing basic services to all industrial areas.

In addition, the City Council is currently carrying out other actions that are also essential for the development of industrial areas, such as the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan, the Safety and Emergency Plans and the improvement of asphalt.

The 12 industrial estates are Les Forques, Corral Roig, La trencadella, El Colador, El Colomer, Miralcamp, El Romeral, Sis Quarts, Sonella, El Palmeral, Apeadero de Betxí and Entre Ríos. Together they add up to more than 3 million square meters of industrial land.

On the other hand, it should be remembered that during this legislature the City Council of Onda has already carried out actions to improve the industrial estates amounting to 1,6 millones de euros, among which the implementation of the Map Onda Logistic which has led to the attraction of large international companies to the city and the sum, today, of 75 major work licenses granted, registering a total investment of 59,2 millones de euros to expand and build new warehouses in the city. A figure that doubles all the investments registered during the last four years.

It should be noted that this is the first time that the municipal government has managed to get IVACE to grant aid to the entire industrial area of Onda, since in the first editions no projects were presented and last year the Generalitat suspended the announcement.
