The EGM Nord 2 unites the industrial estates of Trencadella, Corral Roig and El Colomer with the aim of improving their competitiveness

Onda Today has constituted the second Management and Modernization Entity (EGM) of the municipality that covers the industrial areas of Trencadella, Corral Roig and El Colomer, under the name of EGM Nord 2. Thus, the City Council has managed to bring together a total of 122 owners of industrial plots that, in the absence of ratification in the next ordinary plenary session on December 14, have been associated with the objective of improving competitiveness, infrastructures and services for all companies located in this area that covers an area of two million meters squares.
The act of constitution, held in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall, was chaired by the Deputy Mayor Vicent Bou and the Chairman of the EGM Nord2 Board of Directors, Marcos Gaya, from Peronda Group, and has had the physical and telematic participation of more than half of the associates.
Bou highlighted that “today we demonstrate that public-private initiatives can work if they are done well. The EGM is a real, efficient and useful instrument, which is already giving very good results in the South-13 industrial area, where the City Council and businessmen are working hand in hand to improve everything in our hands, expand services and invest in the modernization of infrastructures to be more competitive”.
For his part, Gaya stressed that "under the Nord2 brand our companies are stronger and together we are going to work to obtain investments such as aid of up to one million euros from IVACE for the polygons associated with EGM".
It should be noted that in the entire province of Castellón only Onda and La Vall d'Uixó have already established two Management and Modernization Entities and in the entire Valencian Community there are only three more municipalities at the same level.
Improvement of industrial estates
It should be noted that the City Council Onda is carrying out a great bet to promote the development of industrial estates. To do this, it has activated an improvement plan with 1.221.800 euros, in addition to the nearly 2 million invested during the first half of 2022, with the aim of modernizing industrial areas and providing companies with the best infrastructures and services. .
Among the actions to be carried out in the coming months are the change of lighting to LED technology, the installation of flow and pressure regulators, the improvement of signage, the creation of a circuit of cameras connected 24 hours a day with the Local Police; and the construction and refurbishment of a new eco-park in the Sur-13 industrial estate.
Gaindustrials
Gestión de Áreas Industriales (Gaindustriales) is the specialized company hired by the City Council to carry out the entire process of establishing the EGM. After the ratification assembly, its CEO, Romina Moya, pointed out that "this project has been a special challenge since it involves three industrial estates (Trencadella, Corral Roig and Colomer) with many different plots and owners in a total area of more than of 2 million square meters”.
In this sense, he wanted to “thank the companies for the welcome and their commitment to the professionalization of the management of industrial areas. The constitution of the EGM Nord2 is just the starting box of a long career to work for the common good”.
