Onda joins forces with Castellón Airport to add competitiveness to the companies in the logistic park

As it did with the Port of Castellón, the City Council of Onda has added an nnew strategic alliance with another of the most important logistics platforms in the province, the Castellón airport. This synergy responds to the municipal government's commitment to attract new investments to the city and improve the competitiveness of its industrial park through the project 'Onda Logistic. Mediterranean Business Park '.

The mayor, Carmina Ballester, and the government spokeswoman, Elena Albalat, visited the airport facilities this morning at the hands of the general director, Blanca Marín. There, Ballester has been able to know first-hand the services and infrastructures that the airport can offer to the companies installed in Onda. Likewise, it has agreed with Marín to strengthen collaboration and create new synergies between the municipal government and the logistics platform.

“To continue growing as an industrial destination we need to work hand in hand with the large logistic platforms in the province such as the Port and the Castellón Airport. These alliances will allow us to continue working to be useful to our companies and improve the competitiveness and quality of Onda as a logistic park ”, pointed out Ballester.

The mayor has also stressed that “in the short path we have traveled, we have already managed to get large international companies to focus on this small corner of the Mediterranean to invest and develop their businesses. But we are not satisfied and we will continue to make every effort to call in talent, attract investment and add new opportunities ”.

For her part, the director of the Airport, Blanca Marín, has reached out to the consistory of Onda "To collaborate in everything that favors the development of the productive fabric". In this sense, he pointed out that the airport "is a natural ally of the municipalities, insofar as it constitutes a powerful catalyst for investments in its area of ​​influence."

Onda Logistic

Onda Logistic includes tax benefits, personalized services and on-demand training, the accredited insertion agency at the service of companies, actions to improve industrial estates and many other measures with the ultimate aim of helping the business fabric and consolidating jobs.

As a relevant figure, it should be noted that Onda sum in this legislature 75 licenses to reform or build new industrial buildings in the 12 industrial estates of the city. All these works add up to one total private investment of 59.237.669 euros.

Investment plan

Remember that Onda is already carrying out investments of more than one million euros to improve services in the 12 million square meters of business land that has Onda and in which more than 500 companies. The construction of the bike lane that will link part of the industrial area, from the Betxí stop to the town center, has already begun. the installation of 151 new hydrants to increase protection measures against possible fires, the improvement of green areas, the improvement of public lighting, the installation of fiber optics or security cameras, among other actions. With the foreseeable arrival of large companies to Onda, the council has also laid the foundations to develop a new Urban Mobility Plan.
