Consensus reigns once again in a plenary session where 100% of the points have been unanimously approved

The ordinary plenary session of the month of December Onda has once again carried out all the points on the agenda unanimously by all the political groups. Thus, the municipal corporation has given the green light to important opinions such as the final approval of the constitution of the second Management and Modernization Entity (EGM) of the municipality, which covers the industrial areas of Trencadella, Corral Roig and El Colomer under the name of EGM Nord 2, or the review of the action plan 'Onda 2030: The path towards a friendlier and more sustainable city'.
The commitment of the municipal government to constitute all the industrial areas of the city in EGM responds to the desire to improve the competitiveness of Onda As an industrial destination, professionalize the management of the industrial estates to be more efficient and attract new investments and public aid.
In this regard, Deputy Mayor Vicent Bou stressed that "EGM is a real, efficient and useful instrument, which is already giving very good results in the South-13 industrial area, where the City Council and businessmen are working hand in hand to improve everything that is in our hands, expand services and invest in the modernization of infrastructures to be more competitive”.
It should be noted that in the entire province of Castellón only Onda and La Vall d'Uixó have already established two Management and Modernization Entities and in the entire Valencian Community there are only three more municipalities at the same level.
At another point in plenary session, the first revision of the 'Action Plan Onda 2030: The path towards a friendlier and more sustainable city'. A document that aligns municipal policies and actions to meet the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the 2030 Agenda and its 169 goals and the 10 strategic objectives of the Spanish Urban Agenda.

On the other hand, the mayor of the Sustainable and Healthy City, Paco Pastor, has shown at the end of the plenary session the recognition that the Spanish Olympic Committee has granted to Onda for obtaining one of the five Olympic Forests that will be planted in Spain with the aim of reducing the impact of the carbon footprint generated by athletes when they travel. For this, more than 1.000 trees are going to be planted in an area of almost 30.000 m² that is located between citrus orchards and industrial warehouses. In this way, the municipality will have a new green screen of native species that will help absorb up to 79 tons of CO₂.

Finally, the mayoress, Carmina Ballester, has closed the plenary session wishing "happy holidays to all Ondenses" and has revealed that in her letter to the Three Wise Men she has asked for "lots of health and work for the neighbors".
