City Council Onda has begun the administrative procedures in order to incorporate into the municipal tax ordinance a new 50% bonus in the Economic Activities Tax (IAE), aimed at those companies that use clean energy and produce free of carbon emissions. This is the first town hall in the province to launch this initiative for a 100% sustainable industry.
This was announced by the mayoress, Carmina Ballester, during the institutional visit she has made to the Grupo Pamesa plant located in Onda, led by its president, Fernando Roig, which has just become the first factory in the world to use a green hydrogen-based fuel to replace natural gas in its tile production process, in association with eCombustible Energy.
“The green energy revolution has arrived to leave a better world for future generations and in Onda we want to champion it, that is why we make things easier for those companies that decide to invest in sustainability and we pave the way for them with tax discounts”, pointed out the first mayor.
It should be remembered that today the City Council has, through the plan Onda Logistic Mediterranean Bussiness Park, with the following incentives and services for companies: bonus of up to 50% of the IAE to companies for job creation; bonus of 50% of the IAE to the companies that use cogeneration; bonus of 95% of the IAE for cooperatives; discount of 95% of the ICIO for those constructions, installations and specific works that are necessary for the incorporation of systems of thermal or electrical use of solar energy; 50% discount for those constructions, installations and works carried out in advanced industrial areas; Aid to companies of up to 4.000 euros for a new contract for unemployed people registered in Onda; à la carte training at the service of the demand of companies in the Employment Center Onda insert; Business Acceleration Office so that all licenses and procedures are resolved in record time; investment plan of two million euros to modernize and add competitiveness to all the industrial estates Onda, with the help of IVACE; Placement Agency and job prospecting service with the best professionals.
Industry 4.0 Plan.
In parallel, Ballester has committed during this legislature to launch the Industry 4.0 Plan, through which actions will be carried out to increase the potential of Onda as an industrial destination such as the installation of fiber optics in all industrial estates, investment in new technologies that add competitiveness, industrial symbiosis or smart data systems to be more efficient. In addition, the government plan includes the revitalization of the new business innovation center Onda Genera, located at the Betxí halt.
In addition, two Management and Modernization Entities (EGM) have already been set up, the one at Sur-13 and the one at Nord-2, in the Ondense industrial park, and the third is underway, which is a pioneering measure in the province for companies to get better conditions.
