City Council, Chamber of Commerce and CEPE are working on the new impulse of Onda Logistic to attract more investment

  • The municipal government continues to work hand in hand with professionals to add new opportunities to the city
  • Ballester: "Training is the best tool to help people from Onda to find work"

The mayor of Onda, Carmina Ballester, has met with the head of the Internationalization department of the Castellón Chamber of Commerce, Joaquín Andrés Sánchez, and the president of the Coordinadora Española de Polígonos Empresariales (CEPE), Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, to give new impetus to the platform Onda Logistic and continue to attract more investment to the city.

Thus, the three institutions are working hand in hand to prepare the launch, over the next few weeks, of the renewed website www.ondalogistic.com, which will include technological improvements and will include new information of interest and in real time, such as available buildings and plots for sale, on the action plan promoted by the municipal government to improve the competitiveness of industrial estates and add new opportunities to the city.

It should be remembered that the website was launched last September 2020 in order to make visible the more than 12.000 square meters of industrial land, to attract investors and to generate new quality jobs in the city. Thanks to an ambitious international promotion campaign, in just a few months it managed to generate large traffic of visitors, especially from the United Kingdom, which has been the council's priority when it comes to attracting investment to the city.

"We will continue working together hand in hand with other institutions to convert Onda in one of the most competitive industrial parks in the Mediterranean, which will lead to more employment for our city, more opportunities for all and to promote talent and innovation ”, said Ballester.

1,9 million investment

It should be remembered that the City Council of Onda will invest this year a total of 1,9 millones de euros in improving the competitiveness and infrastructures of the 12 industrial estates of the city, of which 899.252 euros will be provided by the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) and the rest by the council itself. The consistory adds during this legislature a total of 75 major work licenses granted, registering a total investment of 59,2 millones de euros to expand and build new warehouses in the city. A figure that doubles all the investments registered during the last four years.
